Parts That Fit Boss® Snow Plow
Mill Supply carries parts for the Standard-Duty and the Super-Duty Boss® Plows. Boss® Plows are growing in the industry and making a name for themselves. Here is what they say about their plows. They rate their plow with long-lasting standard-duty and super-duty steel with baked-on powder-coat paint finish with exclusive zinc primer that helps resist corrosion while keeping your plow looking great. Plus they have the option of a super-slick polyethylene moldboard that makes pushing snow easier. Their Standard and Super-Duty snowplows have the strength and reliability to get the biggest jobs done. Constructed from formed angle and tube steel, the plows feature a heavy-duty push frame for ultra durability, a formed bottom channel to add toughness and minimize blade twisting and a shock absorber that stabilizes the trip going forward and cushions the trip return.
Unlike other snow plow manufacturers whose wiring harnesses and hitch systems are restricted to operating just one type of plow (straight blade or multi-position), The Boss® universal attachment system and wiring harness allows you to operate any Boss® straight blade or Power-V plow with the same truck by simply changing the control. (This excludes Sport Duty plows). The Smart Hitch 2 is claimed by them to be the fastest, simplest attachment system you can buy whether you have a straight blade.

Blade Guides
Boss® Plows use the standard 28" long red blade guides. They are used on the; RT2 Straight Blade and V-Plow, RT3 Straight Blade and V-Plow with Smart Hitch, RT3 Straight Blade and V-Plow with Smart Hitch 2, R These guides also fit other popular plows including Western and Sno-Way. Mounting hardware is included. Replaces oem number SNP7901. Sold in pairs.
Controller and Switches
From standard lift and angle rocker switches to joystick controllers for straight or V-plows, Mill Supply has the switch you need. The switch box control is no longer available but the rocker switches are. These rocker switches are the exact replacement and only take minutes to install. There are two different joystick controllers for the Boss® Plow. One designed for the straight blade, the other for the V blade. They replace the OEM numbers STB03191 and MSC03809. We also carry the Smart Touch 2 hand held control units. Again depending on whether you have a straight blade or a V-Blade will determine the Smart Touch controller you will need. Ours replace OEM numbers MSC09601 and STB09602. Toggle switches for the Smart hitch are kept on the shelf as many of the other controllers and switches. Call us today for the switch you need.
Cutting Edges
The cutting edges we carry that fit the Boss® Plows range in length from the 7'-6" (90") to the 10' (120"). Mill Supply carries the 3/8" and 1/2" for the shorter blades and the 1/2" thick for the larger 8' through 10' blades. Any blade 9' and below has 1/2" holes and use our 9 piece 1/2" dia. carriage bolt set. The larger 10 foot blades have 5/8" holes and can use our 12 piece 5/8" dia. carriage bolt set. If you have a V-Plow we also have cutting edges for the 7'6" V-Blade, 8'-2" V-Blade, 9'-2" V-Blade and 10' V-Blade. . These replacement high-carbon steel cutting edges have high wear resistance due to superior surface hardness. Most of our cutting edges can be shipped out to our customers the same day by U.P.S. or, if you are ordering more than one it would be advantages to ship by freight. Our blades and bolt kits replace OEM#s: STB03071, STB03002. STB03003, STB03242, STB07537, BAX00034, BAX00097, BAX00098, BAX00099, BAX07327 and BAX00096.
Cylinders and Cylinder Seal Kits & Shocks
Mill Supply lists four popular angle cylinders, one lift cylinder and one shock absorber for Boss® Plows. These popular cylinders practically replace all the units on the market. Please note your OEM number when replacing the cylinder. They include the cylinder for RT3 Smart Hitch 2, the Nitrobar Hydraulic Angle cylinder for the straight blade plows and others for the RT2 and RT3 Straight and V-blade plows. We also carry the seal kits HYD07025 and HYD01659 for HYD07013 and HYD01603. Angle cylinder replacements for HYD09731, HYD08830, HYD01703, HYD01603. The shock absorber replaces MSC01517.
Electrical Cables and Solenoids
Trying to find that 11 pin repair plug or the headlight relay for your Boss Plow? Check out our web site now. The repair plugs came in 11 pin and 13 pin and are sold separately depending on whether you need the vehicle side or the plow side. The RT2 Standard Plows and the Smart Hitch Straight Blade and V-Plow used the 11 pin plug. OE numbers were MSC03751 and MSC03752. If you have the newer Smart Hitch 2 set up you now have a 13 pin plug. OE numbers MSC04753 and MSC04754. If you are looking for 90" power/ground cable or the cable that connects the solenoid, we've got it. Plus we carry the headlight relay for the Smart Hitch 2, OE no. MSC04294.
Hoses and Fittings
Boss used hoses that looked very similar on the ends but were either 1/4" or 3/8" MP. Our listings are very clear with hose sizes and fitting sizes. Each of our numbers list the OE number to verify you are ordering the correct part. If you don't have the OE number you can start by measuring the length of the hose and then by the size of the end fittings. Hose lengths. include 12", 15", 15-1/2", 18", 34", 40", 42", 44", and 48". Some of the OE numbers include HYD01695, HYD07020, HYD07042, HYD01606, HYD01696, HYD01702, HYD01707, HYD01810. Included with the hose section of our selection we carry the hose fittings. This includes 90 degree fittings, swivel fittings, street elbows, tee's and the straight swivel.
Hydraulic Power Unit
Boss uses the same hydraulic power unit for all their plows. The OE number for the complete replacement is HYD01710. If you just need the pump, reservoir, fill cap or fitting we can supply you with that also. Mill Supply carries the hydraulic unit for the Standard RT2 plows and the RT3 Smart Hitch and Smart Hitch 2. Replacement OE numbers include; HYD01694, HYD01636, HYD01563, HYD01712 and HYD04814. The popular swivel fittings and 90 degree street elbow are also listed.
Hydraulic Valve Assembly
Hydraulic Valve Assemblies changed over the years but parts are still available and many of the parts that are used on the older valve assembly for the RT2 are the same for the RT3 Smart Hitch and Smart Hitch 2. Parts that we carry include hydraulic valves for the angle, lift and lower cartridge, relief valves rated at 2800 psi, 3500 psi and 4000 psi., hydraulic valve coils and ground straps for with the hydraulic valves HYD01637 and the dual hydraulic valve HYD07029. If you need to fix your hydraulic valve assembly we pretty much have you covered.
ID Chart for Boss Plows
If you are not sure which Boss plow you have we have a solution. We have posted breakdown pictures of the Boss® plows. By carefully comparing your plow with the photo you should be able to identify the plow type you have. Our picture shows the RT2 Straight Blade, RT3 Straight Blade with Smart Hitch, RT3 Straight Blade with Smart Hitch 2, RT2 V-Plow, RT3 V-Plow with Smart Hitch, and RT3 V-Plow with Smart Hitch 2.
Pins, Washers, Coupler Springs, Kickstand
This is what we call the 'Hardware of the Plow'. Pieces that wiggle loose, snap off, break or just get lost. These are the pieces that constantly get taken out, moved, clipped on and off and sometimes left off by mistake. Parts include pivot pins, hinge pins, clevis pins, latch style safety pins, kickstand stop pin, torsion spring, kickstand spring and the kickstand itself. These parts are high wear parts and need to be checked for wear before the season starts and when the season is over. OEM numbers include MSC04251, MSC03808, MSC03807, MSC04250, MSC04227, HDW05563, HDW05509, LTA03573, STB03220, HDW05513.
Plow Shoe Assemblies
To simplify matters Mill only has two of the most popular shoes used on Boss® plows. The outer shoe MSC 01501 and the inner shoe MSC01570. These shoes are also used on other plow assemblies and are not OEM but will work fine. The shoes include a 7/16" quick pin and 20 washers. Detailed pictures are shown on our web of these two shoe assemblies.
Plow Trip Springs and Eye Bolts
The same Trip spring was used on all the RT2 Standard and RT3 Smart Hitch plows. Replacement OE number MSC01509 This spring measured 14-1/4" long. For the newer Smart Hitch 2 plows they also had a 17-5/8" long spring, OE MSC07705. Eye bolts to mount the springs come in pairs and sizes 1/2" x 6" and 5/8" x 4". They include the nut and washer to make a complete replacement set.
